Ashley and Dan invited us to go to the Romney Rally in Ormond Beach.  I didn't know what to expect since I had never been to a political rally before, but I loved it!


I had to get a button.


Vote Romney!!


Ashley and Dan were looking so cute...and Grace was there too!!



Mitt was so inspiring and I was so impressed with his politics.  I have spent the last few months researching the candidates and their policies and feel as a citizen I have a duty and responsibility to make an informed decision when we vote.  Ashley has been a huge inspiration to me since she is the queen of researched political information.


Ann was so smart and beautiful.  Exactly what I envision a First Lady to be.



Mitt walked right by us and actually sought out Ashley and shook her hand.  We were the third row of people back and a little far away to shake our hands and he passed us, then turned back and say Ashley and shook her hand!  It was crazy!  All Ashley wanted was to shake Mitt's hand and it happened!  And he really did seek her out and it was quite the experience.  


However you vote in November, just make sure it is an informed decision.  Research our candidates and get active.  It is our future and our children's future we hold in our hands and every vote counts.

For Christmas I got Ryan 4 tickets to a Magic game...nosebleed seats of course because that's how we roll!  Actually tickets are outrageously priced and we could either do 2 seats closer, but not THAT much closer, or buy 4 and share the experience with another couple and I thought Ryan would enjoy it more if it was an experience with others so we asked Leslie and David to join us.



My man Dwight...except Dwight and I are on a break right now with these talks of leaving the Magic.  Don't worry, JJ Riddick is a very close second.


Yep.  We were far away.  And I was using my zoom.  The Amway area is the nicest arena in the NBA right now.  It is brand-spanking new and so large!



The Magic won!  


Our only picture of Leslie and blurry David.  Ryan went back for a few more games and had better seats but the Magic only won when I was with him.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Ryan and I stumbled upon two FREE tickets to Sea World right before Christmas.  Score!  Since we live right by Disney, Universal and Sea World we feel we should take advantage of our local and go more, but they are suuuuper expensive and on a student budget we just did not feel comfortable spending the money.  But we did feel comfortable about paying just for parking and a snack!  We were so glad we did.


I wish I had more pictures of the Clyde and Seamore show.  We saw it twice and it was super funny both times.  It was Christmas time so the whole park was playing Christmas music and was decorated beautifully, hence the packages and Christmas trees on the stage in the background of the pic.





Ryan with his dip-n-dots.  He tricked me and told me Atlantis (the ride in the background) was just a log water ride with one big drop.  Um no.  It was a ROLLER-COASTER with 2 drops and you get soaking wet.  I was so scared, but amazingly enough I survived the whole ordeal and lived to see another day.  It was actually even a little bit enjoyable.

It rained a little bit nothing would stop us from having a good time.



The Christmas messages of the shows were really sweet, even at times a little spiritual.  We sang a sing-along to a few well known Christmas songs and it was so fun to just sing like a child and not even care about what people were thinking.  Everyone was singing and enjoying themselves and it was sweet to see that at a theme park.  We were really glad we took the time to go.

Most of you have probably seen this on Facebook, but I wanted to keep this on the blog for posterity sake.  I wrote this when I was around 10 or 11 years old.  I am so glad I found this and so grateful for good church leaders for making me write this stuff down!  I was pretty specific and direct with these qualifications which really cracks me up.  He has to be serious and firm with the kids?!  What 10 year old writes this stuff?!  I love that I wanted to make sure my husband did chores.  Very important stuff here.  Actually, as I type this Ryan is doing the dishes, so I think all of my wishes came true.

This is proof that I have done at least one craft in my lifetime.  I am actually pretty proud of my creation and feel it adds a little pizzaz to our tiny dinning area.  I bought the canvases on sale at Michaels and the fabric also on sale at JoAnns (I know...I went into two craft stores!) and it turned out to be less than $15 for the whole thing.  Not too shabby for a craft first timer.

My mother-in-law and I happen to share a birthday and this was the first birthday we were able to spend together since Ryan and I got married.  We had both parents and our cousins Dan and Ashley over for a fancy candle-lit dinner to celebrate in style.  I made lemon-garlic chicken, green beans and mom and Kristi brought salad and fresh fruit.  Ashley and Dan provided Chick-fil-a lemonade and a variety of very appreciated sodas.  We played the newly-wed game after dinner and it was so fun to hear everyone's answers.  Ryan had the men draw a picture of their wives and I wish we had taken a picture of them because they were hilarious.  Let's just say some of the proportions were WAY off...in a more busty way...if you catch my drift.  Overall a fun night with our favorite people.

9 months ago we celebrated my birthday.  Ha!  Crazy how time flies.  
Ryan spoiled me and got me the label maker I wanted.  Lame, I know, but I really wanted one.  I was in heaven labeling everything and feel it will especially come in handy when we have kids and move into a bigger place.  See, practical AND fun!






We went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and it was delish.  We got to enjoy the great weather and eat outside and talk about all of the things I have accomplished in my 26 years. That birthday I did a few random acts of kindness and asked my friends to participate by helping someone else as a gift to me.  It was wonderful to see how many friends and family members participated and to feel like, even for one day, that we made a difference to someone in the world.  Birthdays are always specially but this one seemed a little sweeter.
